Armed Forces Day Concert

May 18 @ 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Armed Forces Day Concert
Join Music Director Sterling Poulson and the Choral Arts Society of Utah for a special evening dedicated to honoring the brave men and women of the Armed Forces. This free community event, held under the spacious plaza with complimentary parking, promises an evening of fun, food, and patriotic fervor. The festivities kick off at 4:30 p.m. with a lively performance by the 23rd Army rock combo, Article 15, followed by a band and choir concert featuring beloved patriotic tunes and culminating in a spectacular rendition of John Philip Sousa’s “Stars & Stripes Forever.” This year, we are excited to include performances by the talented Utah Military Academy Choir. During the event, the Utah Department of Veterans and Military Affairs will recognize outstanding service members and military employees from across Utah. The Utah National Guard’s 23rd Army Band, celebrating its centennial, will also grace the event with their musical prowess, having performed for dignitaries such as Presidents and Heads of State. As the Choral Arts Society of Utah marks its 38th year, its volunteer members continue to dedicate their talents to support local humanitarian services and schools. For more details on this and other upcoming events, visit www.casu.org and follow us on social media. Bring your family and join us in a salute to our service members past and present!
